How to Nursing School admission|Best nursing schools

Getting into nursing school can be a tough and detailed process.
The application materials can be extensive, taking several months to complete.
Almost anyone can get into a nursing program if they have the dedication
and motivation to complete this process, but good grades
and a high GPA will definitely help.

Choose a nursing school:
If you live in a bigger city, you may have several options,
but if not, you may have to apply to the only school in your area,
or apply to one within commuting distance.

Apply to the college you chose:
Some nursing schools have open or rolling admissions while some require you to attend
an orientation or information session to apply. Ask any questions you may have if you are
attending one of these sessions..

Many nursing schools have an online transcript
request form you can fill out and they will send it electronically, cutting out some of
the footwork you have to do. There may be a fee to send transcripts,
no matter if they're paper or electronic.

Take the HESI Admission Assessment, if your prospective school requires it:
Nursing classes demand that you have math, reading and language skills, and the HESI
is used to assess the skills you already have to see if you need any remediation before
starting nursing courses. To ensure that you get into nursing school,
study for this test beforehand so you can do your best.

Sign up for any other testing the school may ask for:
One example is the College Placement Test, or CPT. This is to determine if
you are ready for college in general. You might need to study for this exam to make
sure you get the highest scores possible.

Write your admissions essay, if required:
Many nursing schools require potential students to write an essay on why they want
to be a nurse or on the roles of a nurse. Nursing is not something to go into for
the money, and students should have the qualities it takes to be a successful nurse.
The essay will allow the administration if you have these qualities.

on the basis that all general education
Some nursing schools will admit students
coursework is complete before the start of the program. These courses may include anatomy
and physiology, microbiology, general psychology and human development.
